It’s with great sadness that Mel Smyth passed away this morning.
She was surrounded by her friends in her final moments.
Mel touch so many of us and she will be missed in so many ways,
Mel captured so many sneaky photos of us all as well as her normal photos, this is what made her so special.
She dedicated so much of her life to Motorsport and captured so much of our lives her memory will live on!

Once again a fantastic weekend of racing at Scott Structural 2026 Sound of Thunder
Great weather and plenty of top racing throughout the event. Many thanks to our main sponsor Scott Structural Ltd, New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) and to the volunteers, and others that help make this event happen.
Big thanks to those who came along to compete, and to the spectators- see you next year!
