Leg training matters for everyone. Your lower body contains some of the largest and strongest muscle groups in the body, so training them properly creates a huge overall training effect — increasing calorie burn, boosting EPOC (the energy your body continues using after training) and stimulating a strong hormonal response that supports strength, recovery and muscle development. Strong legs also improve balance, posture, athletic performance and help protect the knees, hips and lower back as you age.
For women specifically, lower-body training is incredibly valuable. It helps build strength and muscle tone through the glutes and legs, supports bone density and joint health, improves insulin sensitivity and can positively influence body composition without automatically creating a “bulky” look. Strong lower-body training also builds confidence, stability and functional strength for everyday life.

💪Latest strength series continues - upper / lower split plus full body Fridays!
❤️Build that engine - this Thursday will be short sharp intervals and Saturday will be an endurance session designed to cook cals and stretch our aerobic abilities!
Body Scan 360 joining us to provide an in-depth body composition scan. I highly recommend it as a baseline so you can actually see the gains you get from training at Blitz!
Lights out Lifting - proper strength class after dark run with a disco vibe. Possibly some recovery (of sorts) drinks at completion. Dress up is encouraged!!

✨ DISCO LIFT NIGHT ✨One night only — a fun, high-energy strength session with proper lifting, big tunes, and disco vibes. Expect a serious workout mixed with a party atmosphere, lights, and plenty of laughs. Dress-up is highly encouraged — sequins, retro gear, neon, wigs… go all in!!

Class structure over next few days (public holiday weekend). Only real changes are one class on Saturday which will be long (although people able to bail early if need be). This will be inside / outside with Gaz and Kayla.
And Monday - plenty class options - pick and a class and commit. First in best dressed!

Good evening everyone!!! A few weeks ago I posted a poll about what training one should ‘prioritise’ if the goal was fat loss.
This seems may have created some confusion, so let’s clear it up team!!
READ THIS if your goal is fat loss 👇
Strength training is the foundation of fat loss.
It builds muscle, improves your metabolism, and shapes your body.
That’s why we prioritise it.
But that doesn’t mean cardio isn’t important.
If you’re skipping conditioning sessions, you’re missing a key piece:
• Cardio increases total calorie burn
• Improves your fitness and recovery
• Allows you to train harder in your weights sessions
• Builds your “engine” so your body actually performs
