Day 57 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the Ping Glide 4.0 Wedge 👀

Released in 2022, the Glide 4.0 is designed to help the club glide through the turf and sand for more consistent strikes — and it definitely does what it says on the tin.

For me, though, the looks were a bit of a distraction 😅 I found it quite off-putting behind the ball, and while pitching felt pretty good, I struggled more with chipping.

That said, if you tend to fat your chips, the Glide 4.0 could be worth a look!

🏌️ Feel: 8.1/10
🎯 Pitching: 8.9/10
⛳ Chipping: 7.8/10

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $189.

Would you game the Glide 4.0? 👇

These are some of the most underrated golf brands you should consider before your next upgrade 👀⛳️

First up, Nike. They left the golf equipment market in 2016, but their clubs have aged incredibly well. From the Nike V***r Driver to the iconic Sasquatch, there are some seriously good clubs available for a fraction of what modern equipment costs.

Next, PXG. One of the most misunderstood brands in golf. The 0317X Hybrid and 0211 irons show just how much performance you can get from PXG — especially on the second-hand market.

And finally, Ping. They might not be the flashiest brand, but forgiveness, consistency and reliability are what Ping has built its reputation on. The G430 is a perfect example of that.

If you're looking to upgrade in 2026, don't just look at what's new. Some of the best value could be sitting in the used market 👀

Day 56 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the TaylorMade P7MB irons 👀

The P Series stands for Player, while MB means Muscle Back — essentially, these are a true blade designed for low-handicap golfers.

I’ll be honest… I only managed about 1½ good shots with these 😂 But that one good strike? It felt incredible.

These are seriously unforgiving and designed for the best ball strikers, so if you’re not consistently finding the centre of the face, there are probably better options out there!

🏌️ Feel: 9.4/10
🎯 Forgiveness: 7.1/10
🔊 Sound: 9.1/10

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $1,499.

Would you dare to game a set of P7MBs? 👇

Day 55 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the Ping i20 Hybrid 👀

Released back in 2012, the i20 is now 14 years old — but honestly, I was seriously surprised by how well this club performed.

It felt surprisingly modern through impact, with a consistent flight, dispersion and distance that were much better than I expected. For a budget-friendly option, this could be a great choice for mid to high-handicap golfers.

🏌️ Feel: 8.7/10
🎯 Forgiveness: 8.5/10
🔊 Sound: 8.9/10

A seriously underrated all-rounder 👌

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $149.

Day 54 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the Ping G400 3 Wood 👀

Released in 2017, the G400 is still a seriously strong option for golfers looking for an easy-to-launch, forgiving 3 Wood with a strong ball flight.

It felt surprisingly compact through impact, with a really consistent strike that made it easier to hit than most 3 Woods. The only downside for me? The sound 😂 Although, Ping fans might strongly disagree!

🏌️ Distance: 8.8/10
🎯 Forgiveness: 9.4/10
🔊 Sound: 7.9/10

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $329.

Would you still game a G400 3 Wood in 2026? 👇

Day 53 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the TaylorMade Stealth Driver.

Released in 2022, the Stealth was a major shift for TaylorMade, moving away from the traditional titanium face to a lightweight carbon face.

That allowed TaylorMade to save weight, move it lower and deeper in the head, and create more speed and forgiveness.

And you can feel the difference straight away. I was absolutely smashing this driver 🤯

The feedback was also fantastic. It almost felt like hitting the centre of a tennis racket — a really unique feeling.

It’s easy to see why TaylorMade continued with carbon faces in their newer drivers. And if you want to try a carbon-face driver without spending QI money, this is a fantastic option.

🏌️ Distance: 9.8/10
🎯 Forgiveness: 9.1/10
🔊 Sound: 9.4/10

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $519.

Would you still game the Stealth in 2026? 👇

Day 52 of trying a different golf club every day for a year so you don’t have to ⛳️

Today we’re testing the Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K CH Putter.

Released in 2022, this putter has a really classy look and feel. The face insert is soft at impact, and I was surprised by how balanced it felt for a blade-style putter.

And the putting stats speak for themselves 👀

I made 4/4 short putts while recording, plus 3/4 before I remembered to press record… so technically I went 7/8 😂

It also felt really good on longer putts, making this a seriously solid all-round putter.

🏌️ Feel: 9.7/10
⚖️ Balance: 9.4/10
👀 Looks: 8.9/10

Available in-store & online at Recreation Station from $499, with similar putters also available.

Would you game the Tri-Hot 5K? 👇
