Online bike register to help deter thefts To help discourage bike thefts in the community, Christchurch City Council and Canterbury Police are teaming up with 529 Garage to provide a free registration scheme for bikes.

Queenstown bike park saved After a rallying cry from Queenstown’s mountain biking community, the world-renowned Gorge Road Jump Park has been saved at the eleventh hour.

We are gutted to report that we have had some equipment stolen from our club trailer (a.k.a The Chariot). We believe this happened during the night on Monday the 4th of May.

The following items have been stolen:

- 18 iCom portable radios.
- One red Honda generator (basically brand new with a red cover).
- One grey and black generator (much older looking).

We were lucky to find the box that the radios were kept in nearby, but unfortunately the radios were not inside.

Thankfully our timing equipment is all safe. This is a big relief as this is the most important thing for running our events. The other things we can get replaced in due course or hire out to run events in the mean time.

We are in the process of submitting Police report for the stolen items but if you see or know of anything then please let us know (DM or Email).

***EXCITIING NEWS***

Over the past few years we have been working on a new exit to Lava Flow alongside the CCC rangers. We are super stoked to announce that this work is all completed and the track is now open.

We have cut in a new line and planted over 200 native trees. This is one of the only tracks in Christchurch that lets you ride through regenerating native bush, so it is pretty special!

This project has been championed by Scott Fellers from day one. A massive thanks to Scott and all the volunteers who helped get this project completed.

It’s a long weekend this weekend, so head up and enjoy it!
