Saturday was a mixture of weather conditions although it was quite the warm day we were met with high speed winds which created some chaos and challenging golf shots, luckily everyone was inside when it decided to rain in the late afternoon too.
The wind blowing all the pine needles from the hedges made the greens tricky to putt on

Dear fellow golfers, a courteous reminder to please restore divots on the course, thereby preserving its quality. Please use the sand buckets for tee boxes and fairways and fix divots on the greens.

Last Friday at Greendale we held our Women's Teams Tournament with a field of 84 enjoying great conditions and the usual magnificent country hospitality that we're renowned for. The winning team was from Weedons whilst the individual honours went to Jess Shearer (Clearwater) in the Silver Division, and Phyllis Smith (Tinwald) taking Bronze Division. Thanks to the Greendale members who helped out on the day and those that donated prizes. A special mention to our 9 Hole Ladies who assisted with catering in the kitchen. As one competitor was overheard saying, "I mainly come for the food!" 😊👍🏻

Saturday competition was met with some on and off rain , still had a decent field out on the course which is always good to see the members come out, the wetter ground affected more than others with everyone used to hitting off the dry ground but good golf was still played. Also good to see visitors from other golf clubs out and about greendale , everyone is welcome to join in on club days so come along and have a good day out

What was a dry Saturday was met with a chilly breeze as winter draws closer the days get colder but that didn’t affect having a full field of members and visitors coming out to compete in our bisque par round , with some great scores coming in and an impressive +11 as the winning score. Course is still in great condition and the greens running smooth , come down on a Saturday and join in with our club day members everyone is welcome
