Does Eating Late Lead to Weight Gain? 🍽️🕗

Nope. Basically… no. ❌
Calories in vs. calories out and food choices play the biggest role in weight management. 💪

The “eating late” myth probably comes from what you’re eating past 8pm. If you’ve had a long day and ordered Uber Eats grilled chicken and veggies — you’re better people than we are. 😂

Get the basics dialled in, and you’ll probably find you’ve just been overdoing it in certain areas. ✅

That said, eating late can mess with your circadian rhythm 🕰️, which affects energy use and hunger hormones. Some research suggests this might slightly lower metabolism, increase hunger, decrease calorie burn after meals, and promote fat storage. ⚠️

But first things first: focus on calories in vs. calories out.
Or just drink apple cider vinegar every morning… pretty sure TikTok said that’s good. 🥴🍎

Wim Hof – The Ice Man ❄️🧊

Famous for feats like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts 🏔️🥶, swimming under ice 🏊‍♂️❄️, and holding multiple Guinness World Records for cold exposure… yeah, he seems a little crazy at first. But maybe there’s something to it? 🤔

At 17, he started experimenting with cold immersion, which eventually became the Wim Hof Method — a mix of deep breathing, mindset training, and cold therapy. 🧘‍♂️💪
It’s not just hype… he walks the walk.

Why Do I Keep Getting Dizzy? 😵‍💫❄️🔥

5°C is pretty cold… and 95°C is pretty hot! 🥶🥵

Sudden temperature changes make your blood vessels rapidly constrict (cold) and dilate (heat). This can cause blood pressure to fluctuate and leave you feeling a little lightheaded. 💉⚡

If you’re new to the hot & cold, just take it slow and listen to your body! ⏳🧖‍♀️

Mental Health. 🧠💭

Can the sauna help with mental health? Big question. 🔥

There’s not a whole bunch of data on this — most of it focuses on the physiological effects of sauna, which tend to come back pretty positive. 🙌

Sauna increases noradrenaline (your focus hormone) and endorphins (your feel-good chemicals), which explains that “ahhh” feeling afterwards. 😌

Could that help with mental health? Probably.
But it might also be because you’ve slowed down for an hour, had a good chat with your partner or mates, and actually stayed off your phone for once. 📵💬

It’s probably a bit different for everyone — try it and see what you reckon! 🧖‍♀️

Depression and Anxiety – Can the Ice Bath Help? 🧊💭

So… our Level 4 absolutely does not qualify us to talk about what does or doesn’t work for mental health. 🫠

But we can speak from personal experience. Life is awesome. But sometimes? It’s s**t. 🤷‍♀️

Some days are stressful — they’ll have you questioning everything. What helps us is routine.
And for us, ice baths are part of that. 🧖‍♀️❄️

There’s plenty of data out there on the pros and cons depending on age, s*x, and a bunch of other factors. But one thing’s consistent: it suuucks. 😂
Getting on top of that voice in your head — the one screaming “GET OUT, YOU’RE GONNA DIE!” — has real value. Doing that first thing in the morning gives you a little sense of control for the rest of the day. 🌅

It’s not going to cure anxiety or depression, but in our opinion, it’s a great tool to use alongside many others to help manage it. 💙

Do You Really Need to Wait Before You Dip? 🧊🤔

Well, the science says yes. But the word science is also in Scientology (almost), and there’s definitely a lil something going on over there. 👀😂

Using an ice bath right after your workout isn’t likely to kill your gains. ❄️💪 It might slightly reduce inflammation — which can blunt your body’s natural recovery signals — but it’s not a deal breaker for muscle growth or strength.

If you want to be that person with the optimal recovery routine… wait about 4 hours before you plunge after a strength session. 🕓🧖‍♀️

Pyramid Scheme, Anyone? 😏🏋️‍♀️

You start training once a week — things are good. Life is balanced. ✨

Then your trainer suggests adding another session… you’ll “progress faster.” 👀
Next comes cardio — “Just hit 5,000 steps a day.” Cool. Easy.
Wait, make that 10,000. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

“Are you eating enough protein?” Probably not. Better grab some powder. 🥤
“Oh, and creatine’s cheaper if you buy it together.” 💸

Fast-forward a few months…
You’ve quit your job and you’re training full-time to become a professional HYROX athlete. 😂

Is There Actually a Best Time to Train? 🕒💪

Kind of? 🤔

Late afternoon to early evening (around 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) is often considered the sweet spot for performance — your body temperature, strength, and flexibility are usually at their peak then. 🌇

For fat loss, morning workouts can have an edge since your hormones are primed to tap into fat stores. 🌅🔥

But honestly, the best time to train? The time you actually show up — consistently. 👏

Are Saunas Good for Stress Relief?

For suuure! 😌🔥 But it really depends on how stressed you are. If you’re on the verge of a full mental breakdown, we’re not claiming our sauna will fix that! 😅

Saunas help relieve stress by releasing endorphins and lowering cortisol (your stress hormone). The heat relaxes your muscles and helps shift your body from “fight or flight” mode 💥 into “rest and digest” mode 🌿 — which can also help improve your sleep. 💤

But honestly, the best part? No phones. 📵 It’s way too hot for that. You’ve got to be at one with your thoughts… hopefully that’s not too stressful! 😜
