New Zealand Over-50s Cricket 24/07/2026

Halswell Cricket has been proudly following the journey of the New Zealand Over 50's Men's Representative Cricket Team, with our very own Leighton Johnston (aka Pup) having been selected for the squad. The team is currently on tour in the northern hemisphere. They have just completed a 2-nil Scottish series win and now head over to England, who they will play on Sunday.

Pup is very well known after his many seasons playing senior suburban cricket then playing for our Halswell Championship side after the formation of the Metro competition.

Go well Pup, we are all watching with interest and can't wait to hear all about the tour when you return. Who knows, those English wickets might help you turn one or two!!

You can follow the tournament here: https://www.facebook.com/nz050s

As the season has now come to an end, it's time to recognise and thank our amazing sponsors we have had on board this season. This season their sponsorship went towards things such as new uniforms, balls and player of the month vouchers. So, a big thank you to the following businesses that have supported us this season ๐Ÿ™
