The invitational event takes place every six years and this year runs from August 29 to September 3. Paul is part of a 10-strong team representing 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗭𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱.

The event features para lawn bowlers from nations including Hong Kong China, Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand competing in a series of pairs and triples matches

Burnside’s 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗵, currently away with the Blackjacks as the Vision Impaired Coach, has reached his last international campaign with the team.

Kevin has made the decision to finish up in his community role with Bowls NZ, and both he and wife Linda are stepping down from NZ Blind Bowls. With Linda considering retirement in the next 12 months, they have an exciting chapter ahead of them.

Kevin’s heart is full of passion for wanting the best in others and helping those around him. He loves the game of bowls and gets so much joy from being able to make this wonderful game accessible for all.

To acknowledge his final campaign, the Blackjacks team presented him with a signed shirt.
