We came. We saw. We didn’t quite conquer. But pretty pleased.

Elmwood Park Bowling Club Christchurch’s premier lawn bowling club, located within the beautiful Elmwood Park, Merivale.

On behalf of everyone I’d like to wish our champion women’s 7’s team all the best at the National Finals this week in Wellington starting on Thursday.

I’m sure our team of Mandy, Fiona, Kim, Tania, Nylla, Christine and Bev together with manager Joyce, will play exceptionally and do our Club proud.

Go well ladies. We look forward to another trophy in the cabinet!

STATE OF ORIGIN


(Open to all Full Playing and Limited Playing Members)

The Club’s annual State or Origin event is scheduled for Saturday 11th April at 1.00 p.m.

For those new to this event, this is a fun afternoon of bowls where you get to represent your place of birth - your country/province/city - against other teams. There will be 3 games of two bowl triples, probably 8 ends each. Players are encouraged to wear the colours of their province/country/city but can wear m***i.

Could those who want to play please email or phone Tim Sandrey, together with their origin details. There will also be an entry list up in the clubrooms on late Monday or Tuesday.

Another incredible showing by Elmwood Park Bowling Club at the recent Bowls Canterbury Centre finals day, last Sunday at Bowls Papanui. Elmwood Park Bowling Club finished the day with 5 titles and 2 runners up, in a superb day on the greens. A huge congratulations to all players involved. A special mention to Paul McKinnel and Liam Eathorne who went back-to-back in the Men's Pairs.

A huge thank you Ben Harris, who has come on board as our Residential Real Estate partner of the Elmwood Park Bowling Club. With an extensive sporting background, Ben has taken to the sport like a duck to water and is a great club man. A huge congratulations to EPBC's own Kelvin Scott, Nathan Glasson, Fiona Frew, Kim Rowlands and Mady Boyd, who all finished the Bowls New Zealand National Fours with bronze medals in their respective competitions. With 9 players representing the club, across 4 teams on Sunday's finals day, it was another great tournament for Elmwood players. Best of luck to all players that have made the post section of the mixed pairs, which will be played over the next 2 days in Christchurch.

Great to see so many Elmwood Park Bowling Club players selected for various Bowls Canterbury teams! A huge congratulations to all those selected and best of luck for your up coming tournaments.

A huge (albeit belated) congratulations to our very own Lance Pascoe of Elmwood Park and Jamie Hill of Auckland Bowling Club for their sensational Open Men's Pair win at the 2025 Bowls New Zealand Nationals. A superb result by the lads who played quality bowls throughout the tournament. This is the second time this dynamic duo have won this title, after last tasting victory in 2021. This means that Elmwood players have been involved in 4 of the last 5 men's national pairs winning sides. Well done guys, superb.

Another outstanding night of twilight bowls at the mighty Elmwood park this evening. Beautiful weather, a full green, some great competition and plenty of refreshments!!
