Bittersweet day today as we farewell Mimi to her new life! We will miss this mare, especially Spencer but we are so proud of how far she has come and are so excited for her new chapter with a smaller jockey to really see what they uncover together 😍

Although I have been quiet on here this year and haven’t ridden since my last post in February, we have been busy! We brought a beautiful property in Broadfields, Selwyn meaning we now have our horses on site and we welcomed our second son Ryder in September.
Mimi came up for my first ride back today and Spencer took Stella for a spin 🤠 looking forward to getting back in the saddle however frequently or infrequently that may be with 2 under 2 🙈
I have been hiding something special in my paddock. Not only is he tall, dark and handsome he is chunky and grey!
Meet Frosty who has been with me since late September to break in. I have produced him slowly and we have been forming quite the bond over the last few months and I quickly new he was my 🦄
Yesterday we went out for our first ride off the property, first ride in an arena and first ride with another horse and he did not disappoint! He is young and green with a lot more to learn but has the most incredible temperament and X factor!

Dusted off the show gear for my first time out in 1 year on Sunday and Mimi was her well mannered self bringing home reserve champion novice and open pony to my old pony Gold 🙈 so proud of Mimi and her attitude for only having a limited amount of rides this past year and only having been to a handful of ridden shows.
Thanks to the Brechins for putting on a great show and to Paul Austin for the great lesson the day before.

Spring is here and the paddocks are dryer and there’s more light in the day so I dragged Mimi out of the paddock for a VDS Equestrian poles lesson today. It was really beneficial for her to be concentrating on where her legs were going and lengthening her stride. Looking forward to riding her some more when day light savings kicks in!

I have been a little bit quiet on here lately. Percy sold to a lovely new home down south back in December and we welcomed our son Spencer to the world on 1 February. Today he met his two sisters Stella and Mimi 😍
