Group 2 students from Cobham Intermediate enjoying and having fun at their archery session at Christchurch Archery Club. We see Cobham each year and always a great group of students. Also a fantastic group of club volunteers, Andy, Tony, Linsay, Dave Mc. Mieke, Charlie & Dave H. without them we would not be able to operate as we do, THANK YOU!
As a club we pride ourselves on the speed at which we do the count for Clout shooting. Watch this real time video and you will see.

Perfect conditions for Club Clout day. Through the beautiful sunshine the arrows flew to the delight of those who let them loose. Experienced archers helped newbies to get started and we celebrated every success.

Here are some images of our youth archers taking part in the 1st Friendship Youth Games.
1st Friendship Youth Games
This weekend, some of our archers took part in the inaugural Friendship Youth Games. We were invited to take part by the wonderful and legendary Young-Sook Park. Currently in Laos, Young-Sook contacted the club through her long-time friend Dave Henshaw. She asked whether our youth archers aged 12-15 would like to take part in this first-ever postal tournament. Of course we jumped at the opportunity! Thanks to Eligh, Jacob, Charlie, Mieke, and Adam (who came up all the way from Timaru) who participated in the Friendship Youth Games.
Please watch to the end, there are some familiar faces.

Here are the late arrivals to the Archery New Zealand record party, 24 hours in fact. Better late than never chaps. The good news was that we got to hear Graeme's speech again. Every cloud.....!
