We are looking for a couple coaches to help support our teams this upcoming basketball season. Please reach out via private message or email [email protected] if interested in coaching one of our teams this upcoming Thursday and Friday night season.

All year 7/8s that have registered have been emailed about trial information. Year 5/6s will get team confirmations by Friday.

We are looking for about 6 more boys and 5 more girls to fill out our teams. If you/anyone you know is year 7/8 and lives on the north side of the waimak bridge and goes to a school not entering a FNBB team, then get in touch with us as we likely have spots available still.

REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for the NCBA FNBB 10 week, term 3/4, 2026 competition.

This is the ‘competitive’ competition and as such there will be trials - only for year 7/8 mixed teams, Aiming for trials to be on the 16th of August but are currently waiting on court confirmations. Everyone whether they trial or not will be put into a team as long as they were registered before the 7th of August. It’s a fun, no pressure trial, everyone is welcome.

Please note year 5/6 players that this is now on Thursday nights this grade is 3X3 miniball style basketball (3v3 in a condensed full court) and will be all Girls teams and All boys teams (Not mixed) and there will be no trials for year 5/6 players. If your child wishes to play in the girls only year 7/8 team then there will also be no trials for that team unless large numbers.

We welcome players of all abilities who live or go to school on the north side of the Waimak bridge (If a child’s school already has a team at the same age group available for the student to play in, then they must play for that team and not us) - this applies to all new player registrations. Please register (using the wufoo form below) by 7th of August 2026 at the latest.

This will allow us time to collate numbers, arrange trials determine teams and register them with NCBA.
Friday night and Thursday night games will usually be at mainpower for the most part. Generally we receive the draw from NCBA on a Tuesday and you will find out the gametime in the team group chat.
The dates for FNBB can be found below:
Thursday – 3x3:
Sept 10,17,24 Oct 15,29 Nov, 4,19,26 Dec 4,11
Friday – 5v5:
Sept 11,18,25 Oct 16,30 Nov 5,20,27 Dec 5,12

Our club will enter teams for year 5/6 (boys or girls) and year 7/8 mixed or girls. Please state your preference on the registration form.
The cost is Approximately $110-120 per person for one team - but please note the cost is to be confirmed once numbers are finalized.
Once teams are finalised then we can work on ensuring we have enough coaches and managers and book the KHS gym for trainings. Trainings have in the past been on a Tuesday and are very likely to stay on a Tuesday this time around too.

This is an awesome experience to get a first taste of tournament basketball for our year 7/8 students and it is hosted locally at Mainpower stadium.

📣 Welcome to SIPT 2026!

We’re excited to announce that the South Island Primary Tournament (SIPT) 2026 will be held at Mainpower Stadium from April 10th–12th, 2026.

🔥 Tournament Format
This year we will be running a 5v5 competition only for Year 7 & 8 players. Unfortunately, there will be no 3v3 competition this year, but it is set to return in 2027!
As 3v3 is not available this year, Year 6 students may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

📅 Trial Dates

Trial #1 – Thursday 26th February (Mainpower Stadium)
⏰ Girls: 5:00–6:00pm
⏰ Boys: 6:00–7:30pm

Trial #2 – Sunday 1st March (Mainpower Stadium)
⏰ Girls & Boys: 12:00–1:30pm

🏀 Trainings
Trainings will be held on Sundays 12:00–2:00pm starting 8th March.
