Our annual King's Birthday social tournament introduced many to the older format of a random draw... The weather held off until after the tournament. Congratulations to the winners Teresa Newman & Bruno Falco 🙂

Twenty teams competed for the 2026 Firefighters Trophy in warm sunshine. This tournament is always held close to Anzac Day in remembrance of not only those served our country, the victims of both 9/11 and the Mosque tragedy and also our own members who are no longer with us. We welcomed fellow pétanque players from both Ashburton and Oamaru pétanque clubs; and the day concluded in the usual camaraderie together with a yummy afternoon tea. Congratulations to Catherine Patey and Mark Doyle for finishing top.
