inner city christchurch skatepark Despite it's popularity and high use, the final stage is still to be completed.

Washington Way Reserve Skatepark opened in 1998 to give a place for skaters go following the Council's attempts to ban skateboaring through its bylaws within the central city. Designs have been done, the resource consent has been granted and the money has finally been put into the Council's 2012/13 annual plan.

Early engagement survey closes tomorrow on future provision of play spaces (including skateparks). If you have ideas about how Council can improve Washington Way and other skate facilities please fill it out!

Hi all,

Last chance for submissions to support funding for the FINAL STAGE oF Washington Way Skatepark. It closes at 5pm today.

If you haven't already could you please put in a submission to the Council's Draft Annual Plan.

There is $800,000 on budget on page 112. Woot woot.

update: The Skatepark Resource consent was lodged just before the Feb 22nd quake. Council is waiting to hear from the commissioner.
