CANCELLATION NOTICE - CAMS ROUND 3 - Saturday 24th January

Unfortunately due to the poor weather forecast for this Saturday 24th January we have made the decision to make the call in advance and cancel this weekends CAMS Round 3 of racing at Ruapuna.

Our committee has based this decision on a forecasted wet weekend ahead, very low rider entries, and primarily rider, crew and officials/flaggies safety.

On the plus side, Round 4 is only a couple weeks away .... Saturday 14th February .... yep that's VALENTINES DAY for all you men out there who may overlook this going racing for the day 😍😍

Riders who have pre entered for this Saturday, we will automatically transfer your entry over to the next round of racing. If you would prefer a refund please email [email protected] to request.

Please share to make sure we get this cancellation notice out team, and look forward to seeing everyone at CAMS Round 4 on Saturday 14th February 👍

RIDER ETIQUETTE WORKSHOP

This workshop is aimed at newer riders, especially those who intend
to ride at NZSBK. Riders, parents and supporters are most welcome
to attend this evening.

The aim is to ensure our newer and promising riders know the correct procedures to follow at a race meeting and develop the skills to become a mentor to younger riders.
There will be discussion on a variety of topics including the correct rider behavior both on and off the racetrack, understanding rider’s briefing and how to deal with officials and other volunteers.

The NZSBK uses series stewards, being Debbie de Haan and Jane Percival.
These people know the rules inside out and expect the rider to know them.
While infringement notices are a rarity at club days, the NZSBK stewards will issue them for any offence, no matter how small. The workshop will discuss how to deal with an infringement notice and its consequences as well as the appeal process.

See you at 7.00pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
