Well done to the team today, footing it with the Aussies. The question is.. will it be a Kiwi or Oz beer/wine to celebrate? 😉😁🏃♀️🏃♂️🥳🍾🥇

Despite this winter being busy for many members we have still been able to rustle up a few attendees to our annual mid winter lunch, again enjoyed at Tavern Harewood.
Thanks to Calvin and Geoff for organising.

A mild morning and a small group for our annual mid winter jaunt around the central city today.
We have many members who are enjoying long memberships with the club. This year Wayne is celebrating 35yrs.
Congratulations 🎊👏❤️🍾
Here are some thoughts from Wayne……🏃♂️➡️
The story begins in 91
Life for me was not much fun
My mate said, Wayne, forget the pub
Buy some shoes and come to the club
Day one was a bit of a blur
Meeting him and meeting her
The members were all very inviting
I found this to be extremely exciting
I ran with Nick and Dick and sometimes Rick
Plus, Stew and Lew to mention a few
In 93 I joined the committee
A lovely group who never get (annoyed with each other 😉)
Terry and Dave came on the scene
I had to run faster and got very lean
A number of years passed rapidly by
I’m running well, a happy guy 😁
Come 016 I was out of luck
The dog tripped me up and I said (for goodness sake my knee hurts 😉)
So there began my walking phase
Destined to last the rest of my days
Life marches on, it’s been 35 years
But any new member should hold no fears
We’re a friendly group I have to say
With smiles and laughs on every day
I thank you all whatever life sends
My magnificent group of other friends
