This July, Convergence Dance Studios & NZ Youth Ballet Co. invite you on a breathtaking journey through Hansel & Gretel: The Enchanted Forest.

Follow Hansel and Gretel as they leave home in search of food and venture deep into a mysterious forest where playful birds, enchanting spirits, shadowy magic, and a dazzling candy kingdom await.

Featuring a beautiful blend of dance, storytelling, contemporary movement, ballet, and musical theatre, this full-cast production brings a beloved fairytale to life through the talents of our youngest performers, senior students, NZYBC dancers, and emerging choreographers.

From joyful village life and magical forest encounters to sugar spirits, witches, and the journey home, Hansel & Gretel: The Enchanted Forest is a heartwarming adventure for audiences of all ages.

2027 FULL-TIME TRAINING APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

The future of dance training in New Zealand is evolving.

Applications are now open for the 2027 NZ Youth Ballet Company Full-Time Training Programme, and with them comes the beginning of a new chapter for NZYBC.

Over the coming months, we will be announcing a series of opportunities that have never before been offered within our programme. These developments represent a significant step forward in the pathways available to our students and reflect our commitment to providing world-class training and opportunities from right here in New Zealand.
