today marks 20 years for Rubicon Valley Horse Treks being in business.
My wife Del and I had a dream of running our own trekking company so we set our minds and hearts to achieve our goal

We started with a string of 6 horses and we took our first paying client on the 3rd of May 2005

Over time we added a few more horses and at one point we were running 23 horses.

We are now down to 15. We still have three of the original team. Big Red (24), Lofty (26) and Jack(24) They are still going strong.

Over the year’s we have had some wonderful horses, To name a few - Nugget, Samson, Fritz, Arrow, Bo, McLeod, Billy and of course Duke who we lost way to soon

We managed to stay in business after the Christchurch earthquakes and Covid.

None of this was possible without all the people from all over the world that have ridden with us over the past 20 years.

I have enjoyed riding with you and I say a sincere thank you to you all.

Together you have made our dream a reality
