Alpine Jet Thrills

23 June - Springfield.

Cool conditions didn’t deter this group of travellers who arrived appropriately clad in winter clothing. They took in the stunning sights and exciting thrills of the Waimak Gorge in all its winter glory!

22 Jun - Christchurch & Springfield.
A sunny, mid winters day saw the busiest day we’ve seen since the Autumn.
Both ends of the river, Braided Shallows and the Waimakariri Gorge saw groups of students from Australia all in a spin over jet boating on our river.

20 Jun - Springfield.
Guests from America and Australia checked out the Waimakariri Gorge this afternoon and really enjoyed themselves.
Weather was nor-west so quite warm and we were back to base before the heavy rain started!

Finishing a beautiful day in the Canterbury high country with a spin in the spectacular Waimakariri gorge. Heading out in ALP 8 with its heated handrails and heated seats!

Today’s guests from Taiwan and Japan had seen the river from the train in the morning and decided they wanted to finish their day off with a jet boat ride.

A lovely couple from Canada and couple of Canterbury locals came to check out the Waimakariri Gorge on a Canyon Safari.
Was a beautiful sunny afternoon up the river. It’s in great condition!
