A special shoutout to South Hornby School for bringing along their Primary students - we are looking forward to having more Primary schools involved in Term 4 too! Ka mau te wehi 🎊🎉

CHCH Schools League starts up tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing all the up and coming stars of disc golf at Jellie Park at 3.15pm 🙌🥏🤩 all welcome, sign up through your school

2024 Schools League has wrapped for the year! A fantastic 4 rounds played across Warren and Jellie parks :)

We had a large number of school students trying disc golf for the first time, and a number of experienced campaigners returning to contest the finals! A massive thank you to Christchurch Disc Golf for donating all of the unclaimed lost and found discs so that students can have their own disc to play with, and to NZDSS for sponsoring some awesome prizes for the winners today 🤩

2nd: Ben (-1)
3rd: AJ (+8)
4th: Riley (+9)
5th: Jayden (+10)

The future of disc golf is in safe hands with these young people taking up the sport! Til next year :)

AND THAT'S A WRAP!! 2024 Term 1 Schools League is done and dusted 🙌👏 the results are in, and the overall placings in the Competitive division were:

🥇1st place - Bayley Gardner (Hillview Christian School)
🥈2nd place - Jack Cuttance (Shirley Boys High School)
🥉3rd place - Ollie Pomare (Middleton Grange School)

Thanks so much to NZDSS for sponsoring prizes for the competitive division! And thanks also to NZ Disc Golf for donating discs to give to some of our newer players :)

Congrats to all of the Schools League students who played in the Garden City Open over Easter too - Bayley came in second place with a brilliant -17. Lots of talent coming through!!

It is great to see the disc golf scene growing in CHCH and NZ. The numbers for Schools League have doubled from last year, and the number of schools getting involved has too. Bring on Term 4!!! 🤩

Prizes up for grabs in the Competitive Division thanks to the awesome team at NZDSS, and some cool spot prizes donated by NZ Disc Golf for excellent sportsmanship and funky trick shots. See you all there!

Schools League has been epic so far this year, with 40 students representing 10 schools! Disc Golf is going from strength to strength!

It's great to see the new players learning how to play and throw, and the experienced players refining their skills and playing in the Garden City Open this weekend 🙌

The finals for the Schools League are on next week, with Bayley and Jack in a tight race to take out the title. Watch this space for placings and prizes!! See you at Jellie Park next week Wednesday, 3.45pm :)
