U16 Whero Team Wrap | 👏

Over three days of competition, the team continued to raise the bar. Showing huge growth, resilience, and determination. They embraced every challenge that came their way, competing with confidence and consistency to progress through pool play undefeated and earn their place in the 1st/2nd final.

After defeating Dunedin during pool play, we met them again in the Grand Final. Despite a courageous effort and never backing down, the strong Dunedin side took the win.

We’re looking forward to heading to Auckland next weekend for another opportunity to continue building on the progress made this season.

Huge thank you to our coaches, manager, whānau and supporters. Your encouragement and support mean so much to our players 🙌🏼

Here’s the wrap up for U16 Pango | 💖

U16 Pango enjoyed a strong and rewarding campaign, embracing their “Mamba Mentality” throughout the tournament. Bringing energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of singing and dancing, these players created a positive environment that helped set the tone heading into each game. Inspired by quotes from Kobe Bryant’s book, the team used his messages around mindset, resilience, and continuous improvement to guide them across the three days.

The players consistently challenged themselves to be the best versions of themselves, showing a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and apply it on court. Their growth was evident throughout the tournament, both individually and collectively as a team.

After three days of competitive and fulfilling netball, U16 Pango finished 5th in the A Grade, a result that reflected their hard work, development, and commitment to the journey.
