It’s with heavy hearts that the MHCC community lost a good one this week.

Brent Hodson, father of Mahanga of the Y8 MH1 Premier team, lost a health battle and passed away on Thursday.

Brent along with his son Mahanga and Mum Lisa have spent 9 years at Redwood Park across Cricket and Football and on the sidelines of his sons games was where you would find Brent week in week out.
Mahanga got to lead a moments silence for Brent with his team mates, competitors BWUCC and CJCA GM Rob on Redwood Park 1 on MHCC CLUB DAY today.

Mahanga was later awarded with MH1’s TEAM PLAYER OF THE SEASON at tonight’s Y8 prize giving.

A service for Brent will be held at Addington Raceway this Thursday at 2pm.

Join us at Marist Harewood on Saturday 13 December, 4–6pm as we wrap up the final game before the Christmas break!

🍦 Mr Whippy and bouncy castle and Inflatables will be there to keep the fun going. Get your team together for a mid season get together

🏏 Year 8 Premier team will play their final junior game on Field 1 (1pm) and the Year 7 Premier team will be in action on Field 2 (12:30pm).

Please come to watch MH1 vs Burnside Y8 which have always been close matches and MH4 vs Medbury.

Bring the family, enjoy the atmosphere, and support our teams!

All teams ‘player of the days’ will be presented from 5:15ish as MH1 finish up followed by the Y8 (3 teams) Prize Giving before we say farewell.

Due to the weather reported/expected, the photographer has postponed until WEDNESDAY 10th due to expected similar weather tomorrow.

When life throws you sprinklers, you get wet!

MH15 experienced firstly their chance to play on Hagley Oval but secondly a very niche experience of your game being drenched by the sprinklers after an hour. Something the kids will never forgot.
While not ideal it was just a timing issue but I’m sure the kids thought it was great on a warm night.

The newest and littlest cricketers in the 03 just took their next steps into sport/cricket.

Great to have Shaun from Canterbury Cricket (and former MHCC player) team up with our club coaching group.
Lots of giggles, cart wheels and some cricket skills.
