💧 Daily Hydration Practice: The Mindful "Warm Citrus Sip"
When the frost settles outside, cold water from the tap can feel shocking to the system, causing us to drastically under-hydrate in winter. Cold weather also dulls our brain's thirst cues.
The Practice: Today, swap two of your standard glasses of cold water for a warm infusion. Fill your favourite large mug with warm (not boiling) water. Squeeze in the juice of half a seasonal New Zealand Meyer lemon or Satsuma mandarin.

When you leave class feeling stronger, relaxed, and completely pain-free. ✨
We love hearing from our students, especially when yoga helps heal and strengthen old injuries! Proper alignment and mindful movement can work wonders for stiff shoulders.
🌟Last night's lesson was excellent. Our teacher took us through a lot of shoulder work doing forearm planks and downward dogs. My shoulder has been a bit stiff recently (it's the one I've had physio on) but I came away from the class with no pain and feeling like I was strengthened and relaxed. Sometimes I overdo it in class and I'm feeling a bit sore the next day, but I'm surprised that I have no pain today, just the feeling that I have worked on an underused set of muscles.🌟

I am struggling atm, why, is it because I do too much and not enough
I seek balance but only find inconsistency
I’m not connected but seek connection- yet surrounded by people that need me
I am overwhelmed with opportunities
There is no one answer.
No right but many wrongs
Im alone but surrounded by people
What is my purpose?
What is my why?
What am i supposed to do?
What to do?
I am strong
I am kind
I listen
I learn. I scream internally to myself. Surely aren’t I doing …good.. Good enough?!
Others see me as winning, yet many days I have no idea.
Is this just a stage, a transition, yet I feel like I have been here so many times before.
What…
Is…
Wrong…
With…
Me…
I’m not happy.
My body, my life….
Is it always supposed to feel hard?
Then,
I start the class..
there are moments… patches when I feel connected with me again.
I feel strong- not just telling myself so, not just egging myself on..
Actually.. Strangely …weirdly connected…with me
I take a rest… even though my brain aches to do more…more..more..more
More is better right?
Like the more I do the better I am?!?
I rest a little longer
I feel okay…perhaps…even better than ok…. S**t.
I feel good.
I move again. As my body begins to move of its own accord.
Slower.
I breathe with the teacher
Within the pause i’m me,
More connected.
Letting go of the voices that call constantly for more.
Like I am enough.
Enough without more.
Enough just to be.
Enough just to be me.

FYI this is not a post for sympathy- its to share what I hear so many of you say every day to me. it's a reminder that - these thoughts are common, that these experiences are more common than you realise. You are NOT ALONE, you ARE OK, that you ARE OK TO GO SLOW, its ok to not to a work out vs a WORK IN.
