Just a little highlight / appreciation post from beach yoga season this summer 🥰
I love how our location stays the same but it looks so different week to week ☀️🌤️☁️☔️
Thank you sooo much to my amazing crew of regulars! Some of you have been coming along since the beginning and it was truly so special to celebrate ten years of beach yoga with you this season 🥲
Thank you to my new regulars and my ‘drop in when you can’ regulars! Thank you to those who are one and done, I appreciate you all 🫶
Big ups to the Sip & Dip crew who got in the water every week even when it was fricken freezing, and for peer pressuring me to do it too 😂 I whinged on the cold days but never regretted it once I was in!
Keep an eye out for a one off Mid Winter Beach Yoga Class! Likely in July ❄️ It’ll be a later start, around 10.45am followed by coffee and mid winter dip for those game! This will also line up nicely with the He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools 12.30pm session, which sounds like a lovely way to finish ☀️❄️🔥
Anyway that’s all from me until I get around to posting the mid winter class details 🙏

📍Waimairi beach - hang a right at the surf club and we’re a short walk down the beach. Look out for the flag
⏰8.45am start, arrive early to set up
🤑 $15, eftpos available
💦 Dress for all weather, layers are your friend
💦 Bring a towel to practice on, water, sunnies, hat etc
💦 I always have spare sunscreen if you forget
💦 Class is all levels, beginner friendly
💦 Not suitable for pregnancy
💦 No bookings required, just rock up!
☕️ Sip ‘n’ Dip Club after class (coffee and optional swim for the social butterflies)
The class itself is slow paced and gentle with a focus on breath and relaxation. We will move through a series of strength, mobility and stretch elements throughout. Best way to start the weekend!

Two spots have opened up in my Tuesday night group and I’m looking to fill them for Term 1 starting 10th of February.
About the class:
• Tuesday nights 6-7pm
• Location - Flow Wellbeing, Fitzgerald Ave
• $180 for 9 week term ($20/class)
• Small group of friendly people
The class itself is structured as a prehab - rehab style class where I take into account any injuries you have, surgeries (leading up to or recovering from), different medical conditions, postpartum, or if you just want to keep doing what you love longer - I tailor the class to suit the needs of the people in it.
The group is very q***r friendly, you are safe and welcome here 🙏
A little about me:
I’ve been teaching yoga now for 10 years with a special interest in therapeutic yoga and biomechanics.
I’m a lifelong martial arts artist holding a second degree black belt in taekwondo. I bring a lot of mobility skills into class I have picked up from martial arts over the years.
Currently, I am halfway through a degree in medical imaging, so my anatomy and knowledge of different injuries and illnesses has skyrocketed in the last 18 months.
I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds. I’ve done a lot of prehab and rehab work with athletes like the Canterbury Rams, high level cricket teams, nationally ranked martial artists, professional runners and more.
I also have a handful of casual spots available if you are unable to commit to the full term but would still like to do the odd class with me.

Hi team!
The weather is looking ✨questionable✨ for tomorrow so we’re on standby until the morning. I’ll check the cameras when I wake up, if it’s raining will cancel if not we’ll go ahead, but keep in mind it could end up being a coffee on the beach like a few weeks ago.
Last weekend was lovely though and hot enough for even the non dippers to get in 💦
Fingers crossed for tomorrow! 🤞If we go ahead tomorrow be sure to layer up as it’ll be on the cool side.
