Practice Clay Target Shooting for New Shooters

To encourage new members and introduce more people to the sport, we are starting a monthly practice shoot for beginners, novice shooters, and anyone interested in giving clay target shooting a try.

No fi****ms licence is required to participate, as full supervision will be provided. New shooters will receive an introduction to the sport, safety instruction, and basic coaching.

Costs

5 targets for $2.00
Please bring your own $2.00 coins if possible.
Ammunition

Available for purchase at $17.00 per packet (25 rounds).
A fi****ms licence is required to purchase ammunition.
New shooters without a fi****ms licence are welcome to use ammunition under supervision during the session. Any unused rounds must remain at the club and cannot be taken away.
Fi****ms

Club fi****ms can be made available for visitors who would like to try the sport.
When

First Sunday of every month
10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Starting July 5
If you know someone who would like to give clay target shooting a go, bring them along or pass this information on to them.

There will also be an opportunity for existing club members to get some extra practice.

Administrator Position - Canterbury Clay Target Club
Registration of interest in position
The Canterbury Clay Target Club is looking for a new person to take over the role of “Club Administrator”. This is a position which is currently paid via “Honoraria” it is a part time role of approximately 12 hours per week. This role would be most suited to someone with a financial background and experience with “Xero” accounting package would be an advantage. It incorporates both Financial and clerical administration roles for the club. Ideally suited to someone with some clay Target shooting involvement but not necessarily a critical background as training will be given in the role during a hand over period.
