Marist-Harewood Cricket Club (MHCC) was formed in 2008 with the merger of the Marist and Harewood Cricket Clubs.
Our club is based at Redwood Park, Sturrocks Road, Redwood. It is very central to people living in the north west of Christchurch. Redwood Park has a first class wicket which is used by New Zealand Cricket for many first class fixtures. This coming season Redwood Park will host international age group matches. Sadly the game ended in a state of shock
Chandan Chib [ Xavi ] made a excellent diving effort to take a catch, stopped it from going for a 4, but landed badly on his leg and severely breaking his femur bone. Massive thank you to BWU & Umpires. ST Johns also. The 1st Ambulance ladies were excellent and quickly realized the magnitude of the break and called back up there to help. Lads , everyone has had a big shock. Xavi will get the leg sorted and be back to his happy, smiling self. See you soon mate.
