What a day on the hill! 🤘

The day started off with mint riding conditions, and the trail was absolutely firing. The feedback from racers was epic, with plenty of comments about the track being gnarly, fast and seriously fun! 🔥

Unfortunately, as the day progressed, the wind picked up to a point where it wasn’t safe to run race runs. As a result, seeding times have been used for the final results.

A massive thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding as we worked through the conditions, and an even bigger thanks to all our race marshals and crew for helping keep things running safely on the hill. 🙌

That brings us one step closer to the final race of the 2026 Specialized Winter Gravity Series...

Good Morning CAP Family! Giving you all an update as many of you might have noticed smoke coming from our hillside. This was caused by the logging companies slash pile combusting. Firstly: The fire department was quick to respond and are in control of the situation! We may see smoke for a while as water is applied and it smolders. Secondly: As we head into a potentially very dry and warm summer, its another reminder to be fire smart around the port hills, specifically the Christchurch Adventure Park. We will be working with the logging company to ensure they leave a tidy work site to reduce the nerves going into summer. Thanks to everyone who called in. Remember, If you see anything suspicious, please alert the authorities so we can continue to enjoy the wonderful place we have in our backyard! Thanks - CAP Ops Team.

The SPECIALIZED Winter Gravity Series – Air DH has been postponed due to current trail conditions and the forecast wet weather. The safety of our riders, marshals and crew is always our top priority.

📅 New Race Date: Sunday, 13th September

✅ All existing entries will be automatically transferred to the new date.
📧 If you can't make it, please email [email protected] to arrange a refund.
🎟️ Online entries will also reopen, giving riders who missed out another chance to enter as spots become available.
