Enjoy the thrill of two laps trailing our Highlands Taxi, setting the pace. After your time on the track, unwind at the Café with a delightful breakfast and share a few yarns with other car enthusiasts!

A stunning Central Otago Spring day for Street Smart today and yesterday!

Street Smart, driven by Tony Quinn Foundation Road Safety, is a one-day, hands-on practical young driver programme built on world-leading training practices.

Young drivers and their parents/guardians take part in activities guided and coached by professional drivers, creating safer, smarter, and more aware drivers on our roads.

Our mission is to reduce road deaths in New Zealand by helping young drivers develop essential safety skills beyond the basics of a standard driving test.

There are still spots available for the upcoming December School Holidays throughout the country.

We asked the kids of Cromwell and Central Otago to design their dream race car these school holidays, and you really delivered!!!

We received 100 entries 🎨🏎️

Thank you to everyone who coloured, named and numbered a car and brought it in!

Choosing the winners was a really hard decision. Every single entry was amazing, and the judging took some serious time by the Highlands team!

Huge congratulations to our winners…

🥇 1st: William, 11yrs - Inspired by Bathurst this weekend!
🥈 2nd: Sophie, 11yrs
🥉 3rd: Ellie, 6yrs

A special mention to Lachie, who drew his car and then printed it as a 3D model, complete with race numbers and wheels. We were pretty amazed, so a wee bonus prize is heading Lockie’s way.

Miss August – Chontelle Brown!!

A huge congratulations to Chonny!

When an Event Manager from one of New Zealand's major banks, who works with venues all over the country, tells us that Chonny knew her conference better than she did, we reckon that deserves a bit of recognition!

Chonny comes to work and gives it everything she’s got. She genuinely cares about what she does and about making sure every client who comes through Highlands has an exceptional experience.

She takes ownership, knows every little detail and somehow manages to keep all the plates spinning - even when there are approximately 847 of them. And then there’s the incredible job she’s done pulling together Monster Energy and Downforce. No small task, but once again, Chonny has thrown herself into it and made it happen.

Thank you for everything you do, Chonny. Your hard work, care and commitment absolutely do not go unnoticed. You’re a legend. Keep smashing it!

Mr July – Fabio Resimini!!

A big congratulations to Fabio!

Fabio has slipped into his role so seamlessly it feels like he’s been here forever - although we’re sure there are probably days when he feels like he’s been here even longer!

Fabio is incredibly approachable, calm and clear, and always has the safety of our entire team firmly at the top of his priority list. His is one of those roles that can easily go unnoticed when everything is running smoothly… which, when you think about it, is probably the biggest compliment we can give him!

His clear and concise direction, willingness to share his knowledge, and ability to explain things without making you feel like an idiot are hugely appreciated across the team.

Fabio, thank you for looking after us, keeping us on the straight and narrow and quietly making sure we all make it home in one piece. You’re a great addition to the team!
