Something new is coming to Central Padel, and it’s all about our small humans!

Our 5 week Kids Padel Academy kicks off this Saturday, with three age groups designed to help kids build skills, confidence and a love for the game, all while having a whole lot of fun on court.

Little Smashers | Ages 5–7
Rally Builders | Ages 8–10
Game Changers | Ages 11–13

We’ve got an epic coach on board, and whether your kid is picking up a racket for the first time or ready to level up their game, there’s a place for them.

Every Saturday for 5 weeks, finishing 28 November.

Spots are limited, so head to Playtomic, search Central Padel NZ and book their spot.

Court 1 will be available to book while the kids train on Court 2. Want to get a hit in yourself? Simply book your court through Playtomic and make the most of your Saturday morning too.

Our First Hit is a quick, relaxed introduction to the game. We’ll show you the basics, get you hitting, explain the bits you need to know and have you playing a few points before you know it.

No experience, no need to round up a crew. Just book your spot, turn up and have a go.

Ready for a regular hit, a bit of competition and something to keep you on court all the way to Christmas?

We’re launching two Tuesday night leagues:

BRONZE | Playtomic 0.5–2.0-ish
For players building their game, finding their consistency and getting more comfortable with walls, volleys and positioning.

SILVER | Playtomic 2.1–3.9+
For players who are comfortable on court, understand the game and are ready for some proper competition. Gold players welcome too.

8 teams. 7 weeks. 7 guaranteed matches.

Everyone plays everyone once, with the top two teams heading to Finals Night to play for the title.

Starts Tuesday 20 October
Tuesday evenings
Finals Night: Tuesday 8 December
$220 per team / $110 per player

Bring your regular partner, or the person you reckon can handle seven weeks of you.

Any gender. Any partnership. Just make sure you’re signing up for the right level.

Competitive? Absolutely. Serious? Only if you want it to be.

Winter is officially behind us, the days are getting longer and the October schedule is here.

We’ve got a few new things joining the schedule this month, alongside some of your regular favourites. Whether you’re looking to get more games in, meet some new people, improve your level or finally give Padel a go, there’s something for you.

And for our younger players, we might just have something pretty exciting coming soon too. More on that very shortly.

A few things to know:

• This is our October schedule, but some activities won’t run every single week
• Full activity descriptions and booking details can be found in Playtomic
• This schedule will likely stay with us until Toru, Court 3, arrives

So whether you’ve been playing all winter or you’re completely new to the game, October feels like a pretty good time to get on court.

These absolute legends put on one hell of a final!

A massive congratulations to Mark and Peter for taking out the very first Central Padel OG League. What a way to finish it.

Every team brought incredible sportsmanship, plenty of laughs and some stupidly good Padel. The improvement across the league has been unreal and it’s been brilliant to watch.

Sorry to the teams whose photos we missed. We promise it wasn’t personal!

We’re genuinely so lucky to have the coolest Padel crew in Central Otago, and we’ve absolutely loved watching you guys turn this club into what it is.

Here’s to the OGs. You’ve set the bar pretty bloody high for the next round!

No your team doesn’t need to be mixed.
No you don’t have to play on a certain night.

And don’t over think the skill levels. This isn’t Premier Padel, we are not expecting Tapia and Coello to sign up.

Playtomic Points, the little number everyone talks about but nobody fully understands.

Think of it as your Padel Report Card. The more you play, the smarter and more accurate it gets.

Why does it matter? Because better matched games mean better rallies, more fun, and faster improvement. Nobody enjoys getting absolutely smoked, or accidentally doing the smoking.
