3 Peaks Mountain Race

Our 26km 3 Peaks race will play host to the Otago Trail Running Champs in 2027, this makes a change from the champs event coinciding with the 56km for the past several years.
With the bulk of competitive Otago runners taking on the 26km course, we hope this will make for some exciting racing ⛰️⛰️⛰️

The championships category is open to all runners registered to an affiliated club on race day.

A huge thank you to everyone who has signed our petition along with your compelling comments, spoken to council representatives, spoken to media and assisted us in our submission and speaking time to the council hearing.
The council have listened and for now we have leapt the hurdle. We will continue to plan for anything that may arise in the second draft but for now Silverstream to Silverpeaks trails remain accessible.

P E T I T I O N Please sign our petition to save our Silverstream - Silverpeaks trails 🖊️

As part of our Leith, 3 Peaks, Inch Events and Dunedin running community submission to the Council’s Water Bylaw hearing on May 4, we would like to present a petition representing all those who use the trails for recreation and oppose the bylaws restrictions.

The bylaw will mean entry to the Powder Creek, Powder Ridge, Long Ridge, Pulpit Rock, Green Ridge, Hightop and Swampy Ridge will be inaccessible without a council permit.
