For 3 Peaks 2027, we are now happy to allow the hip/ waist pack style of gear bag for the 26km event. You will still need to prove you are able to carry all the compulsory gear in the pack.
56km runners need to carry more gear and over the shoulder hydration packs are the norm, but we are happy to assess on case by case, again assuming you can prove you fit all your compulsory gear in!

3 Peaks Mountain Race 26km once again stoked to be part of Kea Series for 2027! ⛰️⛰️⛰️

What is the Kea Series?
⛰️ A national series of 8 mountain and trail running races taking place around New Zealand.

⛰️ Athletes pick at least 3 races to score points from and receive series entry discounts, as well as a support with promotion, catering to both an elite level and trying to grow the grassroots.

⛰️ Kea Series partner with established events to support marketing, elite athlete engagement, and national sponsorship opportunities, while organisers provide their races as part of the series and agree to participant benefits. These partnerships are built on trust, regular communication, and a shared memorandum of understanding.

Our pals over at Emersons Dunedin Marathon are on the hunt for more marshals for the Marathon events on September 13

The crew are marshals to ensure that runners and walkers turn the right way at the right time, depending on their event. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and over. If you are interested please send an email to [email protected]
