Tonight the Wakari club has taken out the Otago Interclub Fours/Pairs/Singles. Congratulations to a strong Wakari club who have set the bar very high this season.
This was a very tight competition over the season with many clubs capable of beating many other teams. This created exciting nights of bowls throughout.

The Fours/Pairs/Singles Challenge Shield was tonight played for between holders Green Island and Mornington Red.
Green Island have defended the shield tenaciously, winning 5-2 so will hold the shield over the Summer and will defend it again when Interclub starts up again in 2027.

All the best to everyone for the final weekend of our Champion of Champion events this weekend with the fours on from 8:30am on Saturday and the Singles on from 9am (Remember it’s Daylights Saving!) on Sunday.

Also all the best to our bowlers competing in the Alexandra Blossom festival during the first weekend of October, it’s always a great way to round out the bowls season.

Everyone have a safe and enjoyable summer and we will see you back in the stadium in April.

Note: Wakari were camera shy tonight so we can all just imagine how amazing they all look!

Summer Bowls is back for the 2026–2027 season!

Looking for something fun to do on a Friday night? Come on down to the stadium for some casual off-season bowls! Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never held a bowl before, everyone is welcome—no club affiliation required. Bring a friend along and have a go!

Here is everything you need to know:

* 🗓️ First Night: Friday, 2nd October
* ⏰ Time: 7:30 PM (We are trialing this new start time, so it may adjust as the season goes on!)
* 💰 Cost: $5.00 for 3 games of bowls | $1.00 raffles
* 🥗 What’s on: 3 games of bowls, supper and raffles. It’s a fantastic way to meet new people!

Season Schedule:
We will play through the warmer months, take a break over Christmas, and return mid-January 2027. The plan is to play right up until the start of daylight savings in 2027. Having a break over the colder winter months has worked well for everyone, but we can always revisit that closer to the time.

Come along, enjoy a beautiful evening, and make the most of our great stadium facilities.

Champion of Champion Triples
Played in Dunedin on 20th September 2026:

Congratulations to Keri Te Tamaki (Skip), Lyn Rance and Mary Vincent on winning the Champion of Champion Triples today.
They overcame a spirited challenge from the Mornington team of Alex Derrett (Skip), Jacob Potiki- Tagg and Billy Hamilton after an extra end 7-6!
