We recommended that clubs and teams use their discretion when deciding to train this evening with more snow forecast, low temperatures, and wind.

It was fantastic to see a sea of blue at the Waitaki Tournament on Sunday 💙.

We had 11 teams competing from 9th through to 13th Grades and all of our teams played some fantastic football and represented our club extremely well.

Shout out to the 13th Grade Academy Blue and 12th Grade Dolphins for coming away with the win in their grades.

Huge thank you to all of the coaches, managers and parents, without you our teams wouldn't be able to compete in these awesome community tournaments 👏

Due to the significant rainfall today and the forecast for further rain overnight, some grounds are already underwater and deemed unplayable. Southern Football have made the decision to cancel all Dunedin Junior and Youth Football fixtures scheduled for tomorrow.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritise the safety of our players, officials, and volunteers.

⚠️ Dunedin Junior Football Cancelled – Saturday Morning ⚠️

Due to overnight rain, further precipitation forecast throughout the morning, cold temperatures, wind chill, and deteriorating ground conditions, we have sadly made the decision to cancel all Dunedin Junior Football scheduled for this morning on health and safety grounds.

With a significant amount of sickness circulating in the community at the moment, the wellbeing of our players, coaches, referees, volunteers and supporters has also been taken into consideration.

At this stage, 15th Grade YDL, 16th Grade, 18th Grade and Senior Football will continue as scheduled. However, we ask clubs, coaches, managers and referees to please use their discretion both before kick-off and during matches should the weather or ground conditions deteriorate.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay warm, stay safe, and take extra care if you're travelling.

Due to holidays we are needing 2 kids aged 6, 7 or 8 that would be interested in filling in for us tomorrow for our 7th grade Onyx and Blue teams. Both 5 aside teams are one player short.
