From La Malbaie, Quebec π¨π¦ Sam Loiselle has earned his place on the Canadian side for the 2026 Ice Hockey Classic in Hobart.
One of the NZIHL's standout performers this season, Sam has become a constant threat every time he steps on the ice. With his speed, creativity and knack for finding the back of the net, he's been a driving force behind the Thunder's success in 2026.
NZIHL season so far for Sam has been fruitful with 14 points in 6 games.
Now he'll take that form to the international stage as the Canadian side prepares to face the USA in Hobart.
A huge achievement for a player who continues to make an impact at both ends of the rink.

From Gatineau, Quebec π¨π¦ Luke Stegmann has earned his place on the Canadian side for the 2026 Ice Hockey Classic in Hobart.
Widely regarded as the NZIHL's premier defenceman, Luke has been a cornerstone of the Thunder blue line, combining elite defensive play with the ability to drive offence from the back end.
And the numbers tell the story ππ» 15 points in 6 games in the 2026 NZIHL season so far.
Now he'll pull on Canadian colours and take on the USA in one of the Southern Hemisphere's biggest international hockey events.

Cole Beckstead, Luke Stegmann and Sam Loiselle have been named in the Canadian side for the 2026 Ice Hockey Classic in Hobart.
The three Thunder athletes will line up against the USA later this month, adding another chapter to their hockey journeys and showcasing the strength of talent within the Thunder.

And in true Eaden fashion, he did not just edge across the line. After 18 seasons at the highest level of New Zealand hockey, the numbers now stand at 502 points in 259 games, made up of 270 goals and 297 assists - an extraordinary 1.94 points-per-game average across nearly two decades of competition.
Eadenβs career has mirrored the growth of the NZIHL itself. He has played through eras where the league fought for survival and through seasons where the standard of hockey reached new heights. Through it all, he remained the benchmark.
