The first of three North East Valley Bowls Club women's teams head off to their national finals this week.
The team of Sarah Scott, Michelle Fallow, Mary Ann Harrington & Doreen Fraser will be competing in Hastings at the Champion of Champions fours. Safe travels and good bowling.

A thrilling match against Wales for our vision impaired partnership of Kerrin Wheeler and Sonya Woodrow in their campaign for Bronze at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games!

Only a brilliant bowl by the Welsh skip denying their effort. This time.

Looking forward to catching Kerrin and Colin Wheeler on the green tonight, paired with Sonya Woodrow and Kimberley Carraher as they kick off their campaign in the B2 / B3 Mixed Pairs event at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.

They take on the pairing from England at 11.45pm on Sky Sport.

North East Valley Bowls Club bid farewell to Kerrin and Colin Wheeler as they head for their Commonwealth Games challenges in Glasgow, Scotland.

First stop is Northern Ireland for a Tri-Nations Test Series in Belfast next week, where NZ will take on Northern Ireland and Australia.

Then they’re off to Glasgow for the main event - the 2026 Commonwealth Games!

Go well Kerrin and Colin! We’ll be watching and cheering you on from the NEVBC!

Members! IMPORTANT!!

The AGM kicks off at 2pm on Sunday.

So far we have nominations for Vice President (Steve Marshall); Secretary (Bruce Dunn); Finance Officer (Michelle Fallow); Executive members (Dave Budge, Colin Wheeler; Alan Black) and Wednesday Men's Selector (John Norris).

We are missing the all important President; Club Captain; Selectors for all other mens and womens events and the match committee.

Please put any more nominations on the board (or email any expressions of interest) by midday Saturday. Without any more nominations we may no longer be able to function as a club!!!

After the formalites, the outgoing President and the club is shouting us afternoon tea as a thanks for all your hard work this year and to celebrate/congratulate and wish Kerrin and Colin luck as they head across to compete at the Commonwealth Games. Come along and help celebrate and catch up with them before they head away.

It seems that we have been remiss in our non-reporting and subsequent celebration and congratulations to one of our NEVBC successful women's players!

A huge congrats to Vicki Robinson for achieving her Gold Star with 5th Centre Title this season, after winning with her team mates, the Dunedin Centre Champion of Champion Triples.

Great evening so far down at NEVBC for our Ladies Champ Champs quiz night fundraiser! Huge thanks as always to Spectacle Dunedin for running the quiz and to all those in attendance supporting the club
