Thanks to the parents and supporters who helped to get our runners and teams up to Christchurch for the National Cross Country Championships. Here's a selection of the children's races and the Twilight Relays.

It was a great weekend at North Hagley Park in Christchurch at the National Cross Country Championships. Weather-wise, we had everything except snow and conditions were heavy and slippery. There were some great Otago performances and well done to the three Hill City - University relay teams (and Otago Misfits team) who joined in and made it a great night in the Twilight Relays. Thanks also to Taryn McLean and Aaron Porter (Ariki) for the team management and driving duties. Here's a selection of Otago (and a few former Otago) senior competitors. 🥉 COMMONWEALTH GAMES BRONZE FOR ANNA! 🥉

A huge congratulations to HCU’s Anna Grimaldi, who has won bronze in the women’s T47 100m at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games!🏃‍♀️🎉

Anna delivered another outstanding performance on the international stage to secure a medal on her Commonwealth Games debut. The occasion was particularly special for Anna, who had spoken beforehand about how much it meant to compete at her first Commonwealth Games and represent New Zealand as part of an integrated national team.💪

From Dunedin and HCU to yet another major championship podium, Anna continues to make our club, city and country immensely proud.🥹🌿

Congratulations, Anna- a brilliant achievement and another thoroughly deserved international medal! 🖤💛🩵

Good luck to everyone representing Otago in the National Cross Country Championships this weekend in Christchurch. We also have 9 HCU runners in the Otago squad and some very talented runners competing for HCU in the U10-U14 grades. All the best to those competing for our 3 HCU relay teams in the national mixed relays too.
