We had a great turnout for Kew tonight.
After asking the players for their input, we ran them through several targeted drills.
Meanwhile, Kevin and I worked closely with our new players, providing individual one-on-one training.
The progress and passion they showed by the end of the session was fantastic to see.

Season Updates & Championship Results
As our season progresses, we have two major championship updates to share:
* Fours Championship: Congratulations to the team of Lance Patterson (Lead), Bridgid Marr, Bev Charman (Third), and Ann Cottrell (Skip) for taking out the Fours title.
* Triples Championship: The Triples competition concluded last night. Well done to Lillian Roy (Lead), Ross Cameron (Second), and Kevin Keogh (Skip) on securing the 2026 title.

Tonight, the Kew-Otago Blind Indoor Bowling Club's combined team faced Mornington Gold. It was a nail-biter, with the score tied at 5–5 heading into the final end; unfortunately, we dropped three points at the finish.
While it was a fantastic game, the result just didn't go our way.
In our second match against Warrington, we were on the back foot from the start.
Although the team played really well, Warrington took the win with a final score of 9–3.
A big thank you to Ross Cameron for coming along tonight to learn the ropes of coaching and guiding Aerenga on the mats.
We also want to thank our team: Aerenga Rouvi (Lead), Lance Patterson (Second), and Janice Fleming (Skip).
Finally, a huge thanks to Helen Patterson for being our "taxi" for the evening.

Last night marked the official opening of the Kew Indoor Bowling Club, and what a fantastic evening it was! We were delighted to have Brent and Dianne Sinclair join us for the celebrations.
It was also a pleasure to welcome our newest member, John, who came along to try the game for the very first time. His arrival is a great reminder that a bit of hard work and a good old-fashioned letterbox drop still go a long way!
Thank you to everyone who stayed for the amazing supper, drinks, and wonderful conversation. Keep an eye on your inbox, as we’ll soon be sending out regular updates and, of course, the Kew Connection every Sunday morning.
