This exponent training in the D war anti-and counter r**e program was part of the most recent DWAR assistant instructor training that was conducted on Saturday, June 19 at Camp Todd.
The workshop was a capacity attendance and we were still receiving training requests up until during and post course.
The history room was filled to capacity for the anti-sexual violence threat lecture/theory component before the combat and counter actions were instructed in the adjoining training hall.
DWAR is a Todd Group develop specialist training package exclusive to the Todd Group and our instructing team instructors.
Being based on our military self- defence and military close combat tactics and skills, It is very different to traditional arts and competitive codes self- defence styles.
For the attendees these were new and very different skill sets and for the latest group of assistant instructors, this was the first opportunity to be part of assisting on such a specialist workshop.
This most recent workshop has been a valuable introduction for many of the 30+ attendees introducing them to the best of military self-defence developed skills specifically for anti-combat and counter serious sexual violence threats.
Along with requests for future DWAR workshops from those that could not be accepted as a result of all positions being filled there have been requests from attendees for other forms of self- defence and close combat training both for personal protection reasons and for career role and duty requirements.
The Covid-19 borders lockdown has provided slots to conduct HQ/Camp Todd and regional exported training throughout New Zealand.
