Egmont Village Riding School

Egmont Village Riding School Learn to ride - right from the start EVRS has been open since July 2014, and initially operated from a nearby sand arena.

Egmont Village Riding School is located at 1463 Egmont Road, Egmont Village, on 5.5 acres which Kelly & Grant Teesdale purchased in January 2014. Due to high demand, the property has been developed with a 40x60m turf arena being installed in mid-2015, upgraded to sand in mid-2017, sheds concreted and lined, tack room fitted out and jumps and games equipment purchased and made, so that lessons could take place at home.

📣 Term 4! I am at my computer this week working on the schedule and getting bookings done, so if you have been thinking about lessons in term 4, now is the time to email or phone me - [email protected] or 021 652 858.

If there is enough interest we may look at starting a new group mid-week so if your rider is solid in rising trot (at least), get in touch. Less experienced riders need to get their foundation in privates lessons first- I have just a couple of spaces left.

With the pending retirement of one or two of our beloved school horses 🥲, we are looking to add a couple of new faces to the team. Do you have an experienced horse or pony (13-16hh) looking for a temporary or permanent job? Good temperament essential.

We take great care of our precious school horses, with all the routine upkeep covered plus physio and joint supplements as needed, outings and more. Our older schoolies have lasted really well with their regular low-level supervised exercise and carefully managed herd grazing.
