GBHS 1st XV RUGBY

Gisborne Boys' High School would like to announce that Mr Duane Hihi is stepping down as the Head Coach of GBHS 1stXV. He has been in this position for the past 3 years and made great progress, growing the performance of the team to the point where GBHS were Hurricanes Top 4 contenders in 2024.

We would like to thank Duane and his wife/manager, Carmen Hihi for their dedication and support of our boys over the last 3 years and the hours that this big job entails. Ngā mihi nui - Toa hinga kore, Toa mate kore.

For the first time in over a decade we made it to play offs, falling short in the semi final. Congratulations to Feilding AG and Palmerston North BHS for making it to the Hurricanes finals. We wish you the best.
We would like to take this time to thank all of our sponsors who have helped us throughout our season, we appreciate you! To our whanau and supporters for bringing the Rectory to life with your presence and for following us across the motu to our away games, thank you! It's our last home game of the season and we would love to see you there. 9.30am kick off for 2nd XV and 11am Kick off for the 1st XV

It's our last home game for 2024, help us celebrate by bringing the whanau down to the Rec, dress in your best Black and Reds, come up with a cool banner to cheer on your fave player and win some 1st XV gear!! Spot prizes to be won. See you on Saturday!
