The Skate Tairāwhiti Advanced Class is designed for skaters who already have the basics down and want to start pushing their skills further at the park.

Over the program you’ll learn and work on things like:
🛹 Trick progression (kickflips, pop shuvs, grinds and more)
🛹 Skatepark flow and confidence on bigger obstacles
🛹 Style, control and consistency
🛹 Learning how to push your limits safely
🛹 Tips from years of real skate experience

This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of Gisborne’s well known local skaters, someone who grew up skating this park and has spent years developing their skills on a board.

Whether you want to land new tricks, build confidence at the park, or just become a stronger skater overall — this program will help take your skating further.

We have:

Our sessions focus on confidence, progression, safety, and building positive skate culture here in Tairāwhiti.

Beginners: $15 per lesson - $170 for full 12 weeks
Advanced: $20 per lesson - $220 for full 12 weeks

Small class numbers mean more support, more coaching, and real progression for every skater.

If you know the skateboarding culture here in Tairawhiti then Liam Ngata is no stranger

Kia ora whānau! Liam is proud to be leading Skate Tairāwhiti. He has been part of the Gisborne skate scene for many years, skating our local parks, competing in competitions, and earning a reputation as a skilled and passionate skater in the community.

Skateboarding has been a central part of his life, from cruising at the local skatepark to winning comps and is thrilled to now share that passion with our whānau and youth.

I’m excited to bring my experience, knowledge, and love for skateboarding to Skate Tairāwhiti
