Imagine making the move from a town of 190 people to a prefecture of 787,592. Taking on a different style of Rugby, diet, language and culture. At the same time helping a newly formed team to the Nationals and being hailed as one of the best ball carriers at the tournament.

This is what has endured and achieved during his time at With zero complaints, Liam suited up in every single position in the forward pack during his HS career. His team first approach, along with his coachability, willingness to learn an obvious talent has earnt him a Scholarship to the connecting Yamanashi Gakuin University.

Congratulations .ngamoki on receiving a scholarship to attend Ryutsu Keizai University in connection with

Miko first caught our attention with her impressive defense, hard running and willingness to learn. We feel she will be a great asset to her new team.

Maejima-Ngamoki will be the first ever Japanese-Maori to grace the fields in the Japanese University Rugby Competition. We are super proud of you Miko and will be supporting you all the way.

We are very proud to announce has graduated from Okayama Campus (March 15th)

Such amazing feat, however did not come without adversity. Mona was set to arrive in Japan in March 2021, but due to the worldwide pandemic Covid-19,
this date was pushed back to June 2022. Despite the setback, Mona worked hard via online classes and maintained his fitness through club Rugby in Hamilton. Recipient of the very prestigious Yasuda scholarship, very high standards were required of Mona, and he was able to deliver.

On arrival to Japan Mona never looked back, some notable mentions include being named forward leader and being selected to the East Vs West all star match.

As his agent, Tyrell has always been a pleasure to work with, an excellent communicator, with high standards and loyalty to the people around him. We can’t wait to see him flourish in the professional environment with his soon to be officially announced new team.

Go well in 🇦🇺🦘

The 21 year old Centre/Wing from Masterton will suit up for Palmyra in the upcoming 2025 season. One of Perth’s premier clubs, situated on the majestic Swan River, Alfred Cove.

Some of Cooper’s accolades to date include, heartland selection, heartland age group honors and being named a member of the NZ Marist colts/development team.

We are excited to see Hayden flourish in his new environment, further develop his game and make some lifelong memories. All the best mate.

The 27 year old utility back from Japan will join for the 2025 season. A club rich in history (est 1890) & culture.

Taiki kicked off his Rugby at Josho Gakuen High School (2013-2016). He then took his talents to Kindai Univeristy (2016-2020) also In Osaka. Post University, Kawai racked up 29 caps for Hino Dolphins (2020-2024) in a very competitive Japan Rugby League One.

We believe will be a awesome fit for a place where he can add value on the playing field, develop some good relationships & have some memorable experiences.

LRB Sports Gisborne - Japan Prep 2021

This weekend we set sail for Japan. I have the pleasure of guiding this talented group of artist/weavers from Wainuiomata, NZ. The trip begins with a week long stay in Osaka, connecting with key people from Wainuiomatas sister City, Minoh. Next we head to Nibutani, Hokkaido to learn/share with the Indigenous people of Japan, the Ainu. Lastly, we travel to Tokyo to workshop with local Schools. Worthy recipients of a prime ministers scholarship, TRM Training have left no stone unturned with their preparations, doing their due diligence with language and etiquette studies. Im privileged to be a part of their journey and have no doubt it will be a trip they will never forget.

Second season in the books for GBHS old boy Boston Morete, who plays his Rugby out of Canberra, Australia. Accolades to date include ACT Brumbies & Australia U20s selection. Boss has had his fair share of injury set backs over the years, but due to his resilience, diligence and good character always comes back better and stronger. Keep up the good work mate.
