It is with great sadness that we share the passing of John MacDonald, a valued member of the New Zealand Offshore powerboat racing community. John will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts are with Anne and John’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

John’s contribution to nzoffshore over many years has been
Immense. Please share any memories and stories you may have. There will be many.

2026 Thunder in the Bay is still going ahead this Saturday… a bit of rain never hurts.

Tomorrow - Friday 13th Feb from 4:30-8pm some of the race boats will be parked up at Total Fleet Solutions for you all to come and see.

If you’re not up to much, head on down for a look and come have a cold beverage with the crew as they cook a BBQ thanks to our team at Repco.

With only three days to race day in Gisborne interest is growing. The weather will play a big part in the racing this Saturday looks like it could be similar to the race in 2020. see attached photos back then we were racing Wild Child
