Formed in 1966 the Club celebrated its 50th year at Easter 14-16 April 2017 at the Harry Barker Reserve & Hain Farming Turf.

Formed in 1966 the club has developed into one of the strongest hockey clubs in the District. The Club has five life members all of whom have given 25 years or more service to the club.

Jayden started playing hockey around the age of 7 while attending Wainui Beach School, then for Campion College and also represented Poverty Bay Hockey throughout his schooling years. Jayden was introduced to the Lytton Old Boys Hockey Club while playing for Campion. He moved to the Gold Coast in 2013 playing for Mudgeeraba before returning home in 2017 playing again for LOB A and Masters. Over 23 years of loving the sport, the fun and people along the way. He is grateful to be able to give back to our club and community with sponsorship.

Gisborne Resene ColorShop on Palmerston Road has been family-owned since 1985. Started by Robert (Fred) Preddey, and after his death in 2009, continued on by his son David. The business caters for all your decorating needs for businesses and local residents from Wairoa in the south, up to Hicks Bay and further around the coast. Paint, wallpaper, accessories... you name it they have it or will find it. Resene is the dominate brand, but other products can be accessed to suit clients needs.

Current owner David started his hockey days with Lytton High in the late 90's and then joined LOB A before going to Japan in 2000. Upon his return to the district in 2008, he rejoined the LOB club and joined the Masters team where he has continued playing. Also a voice of LOB on the PHBA committee, he has spent six of the last eight years as association Chairperson. His daughter and son also are actively involved in playing hockey. Being surrounded by like-minded people who enjoy hockey and also different business-minded people is enjoyable.
