For continuous blooms pick/prune weekly (or daily!)

In a typical case of "Do as I say, not as I do!"
It was back in 8th Sept I suggested prepping your vege beds for labour weekend planting...... I have spent some time yesterday and today clearing the w**ds in my vege bed. Adding un-aged horse poo and planting some tomatoes, capsicum, cucumber and a spaghetti squash......
Hope everyone else has done better than me!!! 🤣

Here's your yearly reminder..... it's just over 6 weeks until Xmas.... if you want beautiful blooms for your Xmas table dead head / pick now!
Even better you should just pick yourself a vase full every week for continuous new blooms 🌹💐

Public Service Announcement: don't get so excited by the beautiful sunshine that you go and plant out your vege garden. Anything planted out now will struggle and be stunted. Anything planted after labour weekend will supercede it and you'll wonder why you wasted your time and space. Use this time to w**d, prune those you'd forgotten and most importantly to feed your soil. You can start seeds inside if you feel you must start your vege garden now.

PSA: it is 7 weeks until Xmas. It is 6 weeks from pruning/cutting your roses for them to be full bloom again. So if you want a stunning rose display for Xmas start filling your vases with roses now to benefit with beauty inside now and outside (& inside if you want!) come the festive period!
& yes cutting your roses for a vase is a GOOD thing!

Now is the perfect time to pick those roses for beautiful arrangements inside now and an Xmas flush of new beauties!! 6 weeks 😱

Whenever I book my diary out 6 weeks in advance with no contingency days the weather gods laugh at me!!!
There better not be much more of these as there's only so many work days I can cram into my Friday afternoons "off". Oh well, great day for a book and to be thankful for my SIL and her never ending supply!
