U18 Men/Women Performance Programme

4 weeks of:

Development Training - Tuesdays - 24 Feb, 3 Mar, 10 Mar, 17 Mar. 6-7:30pm

Small group training - Individual skills and advanced techniques - Principles of play and decision making - 1.5 hour sessions (skills, gameplay, fitness) - Attendance encouraged for U18 selection.

Fight Night Fridays (Year 11-13) - 27 Feb, 6 Mar, 13 Mar, 20 Mar. 4-5pm (Y11s invited to attend Fight night). 3v3 and 4v4 small-sided games. Both Gore & Invercargill Focus on speed, pressure, and decision making

Under 16 Pre Season Development Block - Term 1, 2026

This 4 week Under 16 Pre-Season Development Block supports players as they prepare for the upcoming school and club hockey season.

Players will be split into small groups to fit their development needs, based on coach feedback.

Players born in 2010 are also encouraged to attend the U18 Friday Fight Nights 4-5pm to extend their development. (no extra cost)

Players born in 2010, 2011 & 2012 (some Year 9s may be born in 2013 they are also in this age group)
Open to all players aspiring to representative hockey
Field players only (goalkeepers will have separate development opportunities)
When?

Thursdays
4 weeks, starting Thursday 5 March
5:30 - 6:45 pm
Venues will be confirmed once registrations close, depending on player numbers. Will alternate between Gore and Invercargill

$50 for 4 weeks

We are delighted to welcome Sasmitha, who has joined us all the way from Sri Lanka, to our St Peter’s College whānau. Congratulations to all our SPC Hockey players for representing Southland at this week's Under 15 tournament in ChCh. Thanks to past pupil George for helping out with coaching & Ava for umpiring. Praying for safe travels home.

Our junior hockey players have also been busy this week. Our Year 8 boys played in a full field development tournament, winning both their games.
