Congrats to our two Eastern Southland Year 7 & 8 Hockey Teams that competed at the Year 7 & 8 Alpiners Hockey Festival in Oamaru over the weekend. Both teams had a great weekend – playing some great hockey and having a fun time together!! 🏑 Southland U18 Women’s – Day 7 Result 🏑

Our women have wrapped up their tournament with a strong performance against North Harbour, finishing with a hard-fought 1–1 draw.

The result sees the girls finish 19th in New Zealand, a great effort after a week of great hockey.

A huge thank you to Chris Young, Aimee Heaps, and Elle Pullar for their efforts with the team throughout the campaign.

🏑 Southland U18 Men – Day 7 Result 🏑

Our Southland U18 Men have finished their campaign on a high with a penalty shootout victory over Bay of Plenty!

The scores were locked at 2-2 at full time, showing just how much the team improved throughout the tournament after going down 2-0 to Bay of Plenty in pool play earlier in the week.

The boys held their nerve in the shootout, claiming a 2-0 win to secure 15th place in New Zealand. A fantastic way to finish the tournament!

A huge thank you to Rodger Copland, Sam Copland and Paul Wright for all their hard work and dedication throughout the campaign.
