ACHIEVEMENT | 👏🏼

A massive congratulations to ex Southern Stars Football Academy player Daniel Nelson who has been selected for the New Zealand Football Men’s U-16 OFC Championship Squad taking place in Tahiti in July and August 😎👊🏼

This is massive for Daniel and such a credit to him (and his family) for all of the hard work he is continuing to put into working towards his football goals 😁⚽️

It is absolutely awesome to watch your career unfold, Daniel, and the Southern Stars Football Academy family couldn’t be anymore proud of you 🖤🤍🖤🤍

🇳🇿 Congratulations to the 23-players named in the team set to compete at the OFC Men's U-16 Championship, taking place this July and August in Tahiti 👏

It has been a while since we had have the ‘Dream Team’ back together…

Unfortunately, with Coach Bridget & Coach Jack living in Tauranga, Coach Aiden & Coach Kav living in Dunedin, and Coach Saffie the last one standing, we do not have the ability to run Southern Stars Football Academy the way we did in 2021 and the years prior.

This is absolutely not what we expected to happen and is very devastating and frustrating for us.

We are still working on a solution to this but in the meantime, Southern Stars Football Academy will be only be running a very minimal number of sessions on an ad hoc basis.

Despite this, we are still very much on the lookout for someone to take on these Coaching Roles with Southern Stars Football Academy.

With a lot of sadness, next week we will be saying goodbye to Technical Director, Coach Jack, who is leaving us here in Otago/Southland and moving up North to Tauranga.

Jack has accepted a position at Otumoetai Football Club as a Football Development Officer - a fantastic opportunity for him! 😎

Unfortunately, this means that he will be stepping down from his Coaching Role with Southern Stars Football Academy. However, Jack will still remain the Technical Director of Southern Stars Football Academy for the time being and will continue to give it the same level of care and passion that he always has.

Although we are sad to see him go, we wish him all the very best on his new journey 😁

Again, with the loss of Coach Bridget to Tauranga, and now Coach Jack, we are still on the lookout for someone to take on these Coaching Roles with Southern Stars Football Academy.

Southern Stars Football Academy are hiring NEW COACHES 😁⚽️

With our continued rapid growth in Otago and Southland, we are on the lookout for some more coaches who are as passionate about 'the beautiful game' as what we are.

If this sounds like you, or if you know someone suitable, please get in touch ASAP!

We are passionate about continuing to grow and develop football in the Deep South of New Zealand and are looking forward to seeing what 2022 brings 😎🙌🏼

HOLIDAY PROGRAMME | 📚

You can still register for the Southern Stars Football Academy Summer Holiday Programme in GORE!

We will be holding a One-Day Holiday Programme in the Summer Holidays.

It is for children aged 7-13 Years.

Holiday Programmes feature fun and exciting football during the Summer Holidays for new and existing football players of all levels of ability.

Cost: $40.00 for One-Day Holiday Programme.

Southern Stars Football Academy boast a friendly yet safe environment with a fun and stimulating atmosphere. With this, we encourage players to try newly learned skills in games where creativity is applauded and mistakes, too.

We present young footballers in the South of New Zealand with the opportunity to maximise their potential in football.
