Congratulations to the regional winners of Young Enterprise Trust awards, for developing and marketing of their Papatūānuku Sports Kits. As one of the judges it was so exciting to see the range of business ideas being developed by high school students. Local support from Development West Coast and Tai Poutini Polytechnic made this a valuable exercise in building a wide range of business skills.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped us achieve our goal, we are extremely grateful. A huge shout to Miss T and Mrs Thompson and our EFS class for supporting and motivating us throughout the year. Big thanks to Regan and Liz from Young Enterprise Trust for providing us with this amazing opportunity, and Development West Coast for funding all the West Coast YES teams and our regional coordinator Jade for supporting us and Tai Poutini Polytechnic for putting on an awesome night. Last week, our CEO Joel McKay attended the Young Enterprise Trust Entrepreneurs In Action Weekend. He was apart of Team PaperKite, an app and software development company, and competed against 13 other teams featuring students from all around the country. The slides below provided by fellow YES team Juntos showcase what our CEO and team PaperKite produced over the action packed weekend. Huge thanks Paperkite for hosting Joel and another thanks to the Ministry for the Environment and New Zealand Trade & Enterprise for sponsoring the weekend.
