On the weekend we held the 2026 Road Champs and boy, what a race! Even the weather even played ball 🌈

We had one of the strongest fields in years, with not only a course record (34:04) set by Jordan Rose 🏅 (with Luke Sturkenboom hot on his heels) but with the following highlights too:

🌟 7 runners achieving mindblowing sub 40-minute times
🌟11 runners achieving sub 45-minute times, including first female Rasela
🌟A hotly contested walking race, taken out by Jo Smith
🌟Numerous members achieving PBs
🌟Several new faces visiting and taking part
🌟Junior members leaving it all on the line 🤢😉
🌟An epic potluck - as always 👌

Thanks to all who helped marshal and make the afternoon a real success 🙌

Today we took on the “Guess Your Laps” Challenge at the Westland Kart Club and WOW guys - what a turnout! 🤩

38 runners and walkers, with at least three full families in tow! Epic! What an awesome way to get out and moving after all the rain this week, with something to suit everyone!

A huge thank you to Sam for organising this one, and to everyone who helped make it happen 🙌

We reckon this idea is destined to become a regular fixture in the Harriers calendar for years to come! 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️💨

Evening legends!

This Saturday we’re heading south of Hokitika to explore a beautiful section of the Wilderness Trail at Mahinapua Creek! 🌲

A great chance to get out of Greymouth, enjoy some scenic trail running, and choose a distance that suits you.

We will meet at the kiosk which is on the seaside of the road, around 5 minutes south of Hokitika, and provides a convenient place to park and access the trail.

There are plenty of options depending on how far you want to go, maximum distance being up to 18km - head out and turn around whenever you’ve had enough!
