If you have enjoyed the cricket season and would love to keep playing there is a great option available. Junior Indoor Cricket is played at Action Hamilton Indoor Sports. Indoor Cricket Northern Districts

Whether you are new or returning it is the perfect winter option to sharpen your skills in a fast paced, action- packed format. Learn to hit into gaps, bowl with precision and field dynamically, all while having a huge amount of fun.

Primary and Intermediate leagues are played on Friday afternoons and early evenings.

College leagues are played on Sunday afternoons.

🏆 PRIZEGIVING – 18 April 🏆

We’re looking forward to celebrating the season with all our players and their families at our end-of-season prizegiving! 🏏🎉

JUNIOR INDOOR CRICKET INFO
For any girls or boys interested in playing indoor cricket there is a trial day coming up in Auckland on the 11 April. This is for the NZ indoor cricket (ICNZ) junior teams that will head to Pretoria in South Africa in the Sept school holidays to participate in the Junior Indoor Cricket World Cup.

ICNZ will be fielding 5 teams in the following age groups:
13 and Under Boys,
15 and Under Boys and Girls,
17 and Under Boys and Girls.
12 players will be selected in each squad.

The cost for the tour is expected to be between $6500-$7000NZ per player, including all travel, accommodation, food, tournament and uniform costs. Each team will be given ample fundraising opportunities between now and then.

The trials will be held on Saturday 11th April at Central Indoor Sports, 911 Dominion Rd Auckland between 10am-3pm. There is no cost to attend the day so it’s a great chance to get a day of cricket action with high level coaches - and it may introduce your child to a new version of cricket they fall in love with!

Further trials will take place in Wellington on 12th April and Christchurch on 18th April. Final sides will be named in July at the Junior Provincial tournament in Wellington.

Join us this Wednesday for our last coaching clinic for the season. Huge thanks to Jack, Hudson and all the Melville senior players who help with coaching our juniors 🙌💚❤️

💚❤️ Great work to our Melville Mighty Ferns in their first game back for the term and for some of these girls, their first game of cricket! 🌟 They scored 154 runs in their 16 overs and then bowled well to keep Cambridge to 81 in reply. Well done team! 🏏💪
